JACQUELINE FERNANDEZ BIO
In March 2006, Fernandez was crowned the Miss Sri Lanka Universe 2006 and subsequently represented Sri Lanka at Miss Universe 2006.
After competing at Miss Universe, she worked as an anchor on Lanka Business Report and wrote a weekly column for The Daily Mirror while modeling in India.
Fernandez made her acting debut in the 2009 Bollywood fantasy movie Aladin opposite Ritesh Deshmukh, She played the character inspired by Disney Princess Jasmine a new girl in college who has come from America.
2010 saw her once again appearing alongside Ritesh Deshmukh in the romantic comedy Jaane Kahan Se Aayi Hai. She also made a cameo appearance in Sajid Khan's Housefull in the song 'Dhanno' which was a big success.
In 2011, Fernandez appeared in her third film, Mahesh Bhatt's thriller Murder 2, which went on to become her first box office success, receiving blockbuster status.
Fernandez grabbed a lot of attention for the boldness and sex appeal she displayed in the movie. Murder 2 launched Fernandez's career for the good, as she started getting offers from big production houses.
Post Murder 2 success, Fernandez was offered another movie by the Bhatt camp, Raaz 3 which was a sequel to the Raaz installments. Fernandez later walked out of the movie due to director Vikram Bhatt's demand of her to wear skimpy outfits in the movie.
Fernandez also backed out of the role of a superwoman in the sequel film Krrish 3, as she refused a kissing scene with lead actor Hrithik Roshan in the film.
In 2012 Fernandez signed two multi-starrer films Housefull 2 and Race 2, which will feature her in full-fledged roles, and she will do an item number for Total Dhamaal.
Jacqueline will mark her debut in a Sri Lankan movie, titled Pravegaya which is to be released in late 2012.
